Full job description

Following a successful recent Ofsted inspection, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and organised After-School Club Manager to lead and develop our thriving after-school provision at Rothley CofE Primary Academy.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working with children and can confidently manage a small team of staff while creating a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment for pupils.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day running of the after-school club.
Lead and support a small team of staff.
Plan and deliver creative arts and crafts activities for children.
Oversee the smooth operation of club sessions.
Monitor and manage food stock and refreshments provided for children.
Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies are followed.
Maintain a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children attending the club.
Liaise with parents, carers and school staff as required.

About the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for planning and organising engaging arts and crafts sessions. Sports activities are already delivered by our sports coaches, allowing the manager to focus on the wider operation and creative aspects of the club.

Essential Requirements

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Up-to-date safeguarding training and knowledge.
Experience working with primary-aged children.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive, energetic and caring approach.

Desirable

Previous experience managing a childcare, wraparound care or after-school club setting.
Relevant childcare or playwork qualifications.
