Full job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced DBA to join an established & industry leading ERP-based software house

List of duties include but are not limited to:

Established skills in T-SQL programming
A deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server fundamentals including, indexes, statistics, query plans, tempdb, installation, configuration, DMVs and, troubleshooting
A good understanding relational table design including normalisation, constraints, OLAP vs OLTP, traditional data warehousing
Experienced in critical thinking and troubleshooting
Experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed instance would be beneficial
Experience with Power BI would be beneficial but not essential
Ability to communicate confidently with technical, non-technical, internal, and external personnel

This is a chance for a well-qualified, and experienced DBA, to use their wider experience to step into a senior role in our core data services team. In a fast moving and intellectually challenging environment, our goal is to improve overall user satisfaction through product design and delivery.

The system operates on a complex set of SQL Server databases across many different customer environments (including AWS and Azure). Working closely with the Head of Data Services you will be responsible for a wide scope of database support functions including, design, support, performance, and disaster recovery.
