Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Roll-on-off driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for exchange, collection and delivery roll-on/roll-off containers efficiently and safely. This role requires a dedicated individual with experience in commercial driving, particularly with delivery operations involving large vehicles. The position offers an excellent opportunity for drivers looking to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods.

Duties

Operate HGV Class 2 lorry from our yard within a 150 mile radius.
Safely load and unload containers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are maintained.
Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit.
Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with legal driving hours.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a commercial driver, experience with roll-on/roll-off beneficial but not necessary.
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally.

Benefits

£15.50 p/h first 45 hours per week. £16.50 p/h overtime.
