Full job description

Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication skills? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being the first point of contact? We’re looking for a dynamic Receptionist & Pre-Construction Administrator to join our team at EE Smith Contracts Limited, supporting both front-of-house operations and our Pre-Construction department.

Due to the nature of this role, we can only offer this a full, office based position.

Key Responsibilities

Reception Duties

Welcome visitors to Head Office, ensuring they receive a professional and friendly introduction.
Administer Health & Safety inductions and ensure visitor sign-in protocols are followed.
Handle incoming calls: answering, screening, and forwarding appropriately.
Coordinate couriers, maintain the contacts list, book meeting rooms, and arrange catering as needed.
Manage the shared diary and assist with general administrative duties.

Pre-Construction Administration

Support the Pre-Con team with printing, filing, and document organisation.
Log, photograph, and manage control samples, ensuring they are properly stored and tracked.
Maintain accurate records on the HUB system, updating photos, approvals, and project instructions.
Coordinate the timely delivery of samples with internal and external couriers.
Communicate regularly with the Pre-Con team to ensure alignment on updates and requirements.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and H&S standards (ISO 9001, 14001).

What We’re Looking For

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
Strong customer service focus with a high level of professionalism.
Proficient in handling administrative tasks and working to deadlines.
Strong computer skills: Word/Excel and the ability to pick up internal systems quickly

Able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
