Full job description

Bench Joiner/Cabinet Maker

Griffiths & Hood Ltd is a family-run furniture manufacturer established in 1964, specialising in high-quality bespoke and contract office furniture in veneer, laminate, MFC, painted MDF, plywood, solid timber and other materials.

We are looking for a Bench Joiner/Cabinet Maker to join our factory team.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble, finish and fit bespoke office furniture and furniture components from drawings and cutting sheets
Bench joinery and assembly of solid wood components
Fit hardware, fixings and fittings
Use hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery
Work accurately to a high standard and support other factory operations when required
Work closely with colleagues to ensure high quality finishes

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

At least 3 years’ relevant experience
Strong furniture construction and bench joinery skills
Experience with veneer, laminate, MFC, MDF, plywood and/or timber
Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
A proactive attitude and ability to work well in a team

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
