Transport Admin Support (Maternity Cover – 12 Months)

Location: West Horndon Depot (Brentwood)
Salary: From £25,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility required for holiday and sickness cover)

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Admin Support professional to join our Transport Planning Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a busy traffic office who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has excellent administrative and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update accurate customer records and databases.
Input and manage data within the Transport Management System.
Handle incoming customer queries via telephone and email.
Monitor shared mailboxes and ensure timely responses.
Carry out general administrative and ad hoc duties.
Ensure driver records are accurate and up to date.
Prepare customer monthly presentations.
Support the management of driver compliance, including tachographs, drivers’ hours, health and safety, and accident reporting.
Raise subcontractor requests and obtain relevant authorisations where required.
Provide cover for colleagues when necessary to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience working within a busy traffic office.
Strong administration and data entry skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A flexible approach to working hours, overtime, and occasional weekend cover.
