Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Storesman/woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and yardspace, ensuring that all materials and products are stored, organised, and dispatched correctly. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools, making it essential for someone who enjoys practical tasks and has a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels and inventory movements.
Assemble products as required
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely to perform various tasks related to storage and assembly.
Assist in the preparation of goods for dispatch, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to management.
Maintain a clean and safe machinery and pipework

Experience

Forklift experience would be beneficial
Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment is preferred but not essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely is required.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with good attention to detail is essential.
