Job title: Infrastructure Maintenance Technician – Sizewell C

We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Infrastructure Maintenance Technician.

Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk, IP16

Salary: Competitive and based on experience.

About us:

Sizewell C is a large, planned nuclear power station being built on the Suffolk coast in the UK. The project is expected to generate 3.2 GW of clean electricity, enough for 6 million homes. This is a significant part of the UK’s strategy for clean energy and energy security, with the goal of providing reliable, low-carbon power and supporting economic growth. SZC is a major project opportunity for the Martin Group of Companies.

About H. W. (Traffic Management) Ltd:

We provide data-led, traffic management services within a temporary environment. Put simply, we guide vehicles around roadworks in the safest, most efficient way possible whilst permanent improvements are made to the country’s highways.

We collate data to find ways of making the temporary traffic management strategies we deploy as safe, swift and synchronised as possible.

We also provide an emergency traffic management intervention on behalf of our clients in the event of a situation that poses an immediate risk to health, life, property or the environment. For example, in the event of widespread flooding.

The Opportunity:

The Infrastructure Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out routine, preventative and reactive maintenance activities across the Sizewell C project site.
Working as part of a small multi-skilled team, the postholder will contribute to the safe maintenance of traffic management infrastructure and environmental assets while supporting the commitment to the Sizewell C Zero Harm culture, operational excellence and environmental stewardship.

Maintenance Operations:

Carry out routine and reactive infrastructure maintenance activities.
Undertake a variety of works including:

Installation, maintenance and removal of traffic management

Banksman duties

To Litter picking

To Use of mobile access towers

To Manual handling tasks

Support winter maintenance and environmental maintenance operations.
Operate within approved work programmes and schedules.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential Experience

Experience in civil engineering, highways maintenance or construction.
Experience with traffic management, banksman and winter operations.
Knowledge of safe systems of work and construction site safety requirements.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced operational environment.

Essential Qualifications and Training

Operative CSCS Health & Safety Test.
CSCS Operative Card.
National Highways Sector Scheme 12D (LANTRA).

or CPCS Plant and Vehicle Marshall (A73).

Safety Critical Medical.
Full UK Driving Licence
HWM Sizewell Internal Competency Assessment

Desirable Qualifications

Additional plant operation qualifications.
First Aid at Work.
PASMA Mobile Access Towers.
Manual Handling Awareness. (must be acquired in first three months)
Street Works qualifications.
Environmental maintenance qualifications.
Winter maintenance experience.
