Plan, organise, and oversee a variety of activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of members
Sourcing and preparing activity materials; facilitating group sessions for up to 15 members, with assistance from support workers and volunteers.
Adapting activities to ensure everyone can participate, including members with reduced mobility, hearing or visual impairments, memory loss and dementia.
Setting up room for day’s activities including arranging chairs and setting lunch tables
Booking external facilitators e.g., guest speakers, musicians, exercise tutors etc.
Building relationships with external organisations as part of creating community connections e.g. police, fire, Morningside schools, local political representatives etc
Creating and distributing monthly programmes.
Develop and implement activity programmes tailored to individual preferences and abilities
Coordinate group outings, events, and entertainment within the Day Services Centre
Work closely with Day Services staff to ensure activities align with members' care plans
Maintain accurate records of member participation and feedback
Organising staff and volunteers during group sessions.
Acting as a keyworker including completing 6 monthly reviews for a case load of members
Supporting members to attend to their personal care, including prompting individuals to take their medication as prescribed and providing physical assistance with toileting.
Providing members with assistance to transfer and mobilise safely as required, in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
Assist on community transport journeys for members to and from the centre
Completing routine administrative tasks (e.g. writing daily reports in members’ care notes, maintaining registers, entering data in spreadsheets).
Participating in the on-going monitoring and evaluation of people’s experiences of the group sessions, including seeking the views of members, carers and volunteers on how to develop and improve the range of activities and quality of services.
Liaising with family members and carers regarding individual’s health and wellbeing and any concerns in relation to attendance at Day Services.
At lunchtime serving lunch to members, supporting members to eat lunch if necessary, and clearing tables after.
Maintaining confidentiality of members’, ensuring sensitive personal information is stored securely.
Undertaking any relevant training, as required.
Attending to other duties, in accordance with role and position within the organisation, as deemed appropriate by management team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.45 per hour
