We’re looking for a Payroll Officer to join the Finance Systems team.
As Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day duties of the payroll team with enhanced technical knowledge to ensure accurate and timely payments to stakeholders in accordance with legislation, policy, procedures and deadlines. To do this you must have experience in the following specific duties:
- checking input of documents/forms on a timely basis for accuracy.
- carrying out other duties as required to ensure payment of employee and appointees are paid accurately and on time.
- being proactive in identifying areas for improvement and having input into the development of action plans. Involvement in payroll related and cross functional projects.
- covering for the Payroll Supervisor in their absence and providing support on day-to-day tasks including running payrolls for approx. 1,000 employees and 25,000 appointees.
You must also have the following skills and experience:
- have technical payroll knowledge in relation to statutory, legislative, pension and audit requirements.
- have a working knowledge at a level to be able to provide specific financial guidance to others.
- be educated to SCQF Level 7 (have or working towards a payroll/CIPP qualification) and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role.
