Wedding & Event Manager
We are looking to train and appoint a motivated, fun, hardworking Wedding & Event Manager to join our family run wedding and events business.
Hours of Work
Two/Three days a week, with one set weekday Mon-Thurs, then working on a 4 weekly rota rotating Fri, Sat & Sun.
As a guide over 4 weeks, working days would look similar to;
Week 1 - Tuesday and Friday
Week 2 - Tuesday and Saturday
Week 3 - Tuesday and Sunday
Week 4 - Tuesday, Saturday am and Sunday
Hours dependent on whether an office or wedding day and will vary between 10 hours and 17 hours a day. Approximately 24-35 hours a week.
Additional functions and hours are highly likely to be available within this very popular and growing local business.
Position
Part time, (one set weekday and alternating days when weddings and functions). We are seeking a motivated, friendly employee to join our well established, professional team.
Package
£13.65 per hour + holiday
Holidays: Approximately 28 days per year pro-rata dependent on hours worked.

Our Wedding Events Team and Venue has won numerous awards including for three years running The Best Regional Wedding Events Team in The Wedding Industry Awards and we are now looking to increase our fabulous team.
The Bredenbury Court Barns wedding team supports our couples throughout their wedding journey and discreetly manage the big day itself too, ensuring the wedding couple, their friends and family, really do have the best wedding day ever!
Job Details:
- The Wedding & Event Manager has a great deal of responsibility & is involved in a broad range of business lines including sales, operations, facilities management, planning & the core event management itself. We are looking to recruit an ‘all-rounder’ who is willing to learn all aspects of the position within the business.
- Whilst proven skills in a similar position are preferable, we ensure comprehensive in-house training and shadowing so previous experience is not essential.
- Sales & Marketing responsibilities including meeting with prospective clients and showing them the venue. - Booking of events, subsequent event & wedding planning support and coordination.
- Full Event Management including full set up and administration prior to event occurring, ensuring event runs smoothly and ensuring professional take down.
- Assistance in the setting up of wedding receptions and corporate functions in line with clients’ individual requirements.
Personal Profile:
- Excellent level of both Spoken English and written English
- Outgoing personality, interested and enthusiastic (whilst also a good listener) with good telephone and client meeting manner
- Organised and methodical person
- Ability to work under pressure on one’s own, use initiative, have ample stamina and deliver outstanding service to clients over the whole course of a wedding day and onward evening celebration
- Ability to work within a team as required
- Managerial qualities to lead or influence others whilst also being prepared to roll sleeves up where necessary and get involved
-Previous experience in running events and Marketing would be preferred but not essential.
- Great client service skills and a confident ambassador of the venue.
- Strong IT skills are essential (Outlook, Word, Excel) with accurate keyboard skills & sound numeracy
