About the role
Duties will include;
- Development of embedded software, primarily in C++, running on embedded Linux platforms, for the company's range of CEMA systems and applications.
- Contributing to projects throughout the engineering lifecycle, from initial concept and architecture through software design, implementation, integration, verification and deployment.
- Work closely with FPGA, RF, DSP, electronics and systems engineers to develop software that interfaces with hardware and provides the control, processing, communications and system management functions required by the product.
- Development of new products and technology demonstrators, but will also include debugging, maintaining and enhancing existing products.
- Delivering software as well as providing technical guidance and support to other members of the engineering team.
About you
You will be able to;
- Demonstrate professional experience in embedded software development.
- Have a good understanding of Linux operating system concepts.
- Demonstrate experience developing software that interfaces directly with hardware.
- Experience debugging software on real embedded hardware.
- Experience with multi-threaded and/or concurrent software development
- Drive forward with energy, flexibility, enthusiasm, persistence, and commitment.
- Prove your ability to understand complex technical problems and develop practical solutions.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
