Full job description

Luctonians is a thriving multi sports community and charity. In this role of Community Sports Coach you will be responsible for maintaining the existing level of sports provision that Luctonians coaches deliver within the local community. You will be part of a team of coaches who deliver multi-sports provision, aiming to continually meet the ever-changing needs of our local schools.

Requirements

Plan and deliver engaging, enjoyable multi-sports sessions with predominantly primary school. Catering for both in-curriculum time learning and after-school clubs.
Work with our Programme Coordinator to plan a term's worth of coaching sessions that follow curriculum aims and shows progression and development for the children receiving the sessions.
Perform required refereeing, officiating or coaching roles within any festivals held within our community programme.
Deliver engaging and enjoyable multi-sports sessions at Luctonians during our school holiday camps.

What are we looking for

Previous sports coaching or teaching experience is essential within this role.
A minimum of 2 years sports coaching experience in a paid or voluntary capacity, ideally in a range of environments including schools, clubs and the wider community.
Understanding and awareness of the issues faced when coaching large classes of children with hugely varying levels of ability within primary schools.
Experience of setting clear goals, targets, measures and implementing action plans.
