We are looking to recruit an Operations Technician to assist in the smooth and efficient running of our Engineering Department. This position, which is based in our Glenrothes facility at Southfield Industrial Estate is permanent, subject to completion of a satisfactory 3-month probation period.
Applicants must have previous experience within a production environment and hands on experience working with production machinery. Have an eye for fine detail, good dexterity, be able to work unsupervised and to deadlines. An HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Related Discipline or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
- Setting of all automatic machines
- Providing technical assistant and training to production staff
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Ordering / Stocking of required items to enable production department to remain operational
- Calibration of all internal calibrated instruments/equipment
- Ensuring all certificates / T-cards are correct and filed accurately
- To assist the Quality Department with production issues
- Review of current processes and procedures making changes as required.
- Ensure the facility is kept in a tidy and maintained manner and carry out minor repairs to units/fixtures & fittings, when required
- Basic computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office (or similar), ERP Systems.
- Excellent time keeping and attendance. Flexibility, team work, good communication.
- An HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Related Discipline or equivalent is desirable but not essential

- Dayshift Hours – Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2pm
- 40 hours per week
