We are seeking a professional experienced Car Transporter Driver to join our team Within our expanding family business.The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of vehicle care. Responsibilities
- Safely operate TE Odyssey to transport cars and vans between designated locations
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring vehicle safety during transit
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each journey, reporting any mechanical issues or damages
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules and delays
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during transportation activities
- Ensure vehicles are secured properly before transit and check for any potential hazards during loading and unloading processes
Requirements
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation, with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in driving lorries or commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of transporter operations and vehicle securing methods
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service
- Ability to organise routes efficiently whilst adhering to schedules
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail in documentation and vehicle checks
- Flexibility to work with up to 4 nights out per week as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
