Balcarres Estate is seeking a reliable, discreet and flexible part-time driver to provide transport for family members and guests as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Chauffeuring family members and guests to and from various destinations.
- Airport, railway station, pick-ups/drop-offs.
- Driving for appointments, meetings and social engagements.
- Ensuring vehicles are kept clean, presentable and fuelled.
- Providing a professional, courteous and confidential service at all times.
Requirements
- Aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes).
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent driving record and experience.
- Comfortable driving automatic vehicles (all vehicles provided by the Estate).
- Flexible availability, including weekends, early mornings and late evenings.
- Smart appearance and professional manner.
- Trustworthy, discreet and respectful of confidentiality.
- Good knowledge of Fife, Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
- Ability to remain calm, punctual and dependable.
Location
Applicants should live locally or within a reasonable travelling distance of Balcarres Estate, Colinsburgh, Fife (KY9 1HN).
Hours
This is a flexible, ad hoc position with hours varying according to the Estate's requirements. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours.
Pay
£14.00–£16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a chauffeur, private driver or professional driver.
- Semi-retired applicants looking for flexible work are welcome to apply.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
