Community Education delivers free educational workshops to groups of young people and adults across the UK to help increase community resilience. We would like you to: - Be able to volunteer on a regular basis. - Be able to contribute a minimum of 8 hours per month and having flexibility with their availability would also be advantageous (workshops usually run on weekdays between 9am and 5pm, with occasional opportunities in the evenings or at weekends). - Can commit to volunteer for at least 12 months. - Willing to undertake all the required training for the role. - Willing to travel to workshop venues in your community independently. - Have access to a well-functioning laptop. - Be comfortable talking in front of diverse audiences. - Confidence to engage an audience and encourage participation. *Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check. Applicants will be asked to provide ID documents in support of the PVG check.* *Unfortunately we aren't able to accept applications from 15 – 17 year olds for this role. To support even more people, we require the help of our volunteers who know their local communities. Together, we can help enable positive outcomes for people impacted by adversity. Tasks: Facilitate face-to-face or online workshops to groups of young people or adults, on a range of humanitarian topics to help strengthen your community.

Help promote our work within your community so that more people may benefit from our education offer.

Skills: Passionate about exploring humanitarian issues and values.

Believe in the importance of equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsible, organised, reliable and able to work with minimum supervision.

Ideally, you will have a reasonable level of IT literacy, and have access to suitable IT equipment and internet connection. (There is no expectation to deliver both face-to-face and digital workshops. You may choose either or both.)
