We are seeking a well motivated, hands-on individual who likes working with detail to join our team. The role requires competent use of hand tools and machinery.
The Role
You will be responsible for constructing high-quality bespoke garden buildings and structures using the latest materials and components, whilst using traditional craftsmanship within our workshop, working from technical drawings and specifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work (DIY’er) who takes pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing bespoke garden buildings and structures, following established process and practice.
- With training, understand technical drawings and plans
- Measuring, cutting and assembling timber components
- Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely
- Ensuring all work meets company quality standards
- Carrying out quality inspections throughout the build process
- Assisting with loading and preparation for site installation
- Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous hands-on practical experience
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Good practical problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Enjoys teamwork
Desirable
- NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry & Joinery
- Experience in timber frame construction
- Experience within a manufacturing or workshop environment
- Forklift licence (or willingness to undertake training)
- Previous carpentry, joinery or timber fabrication experience.
