Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm, efficient, and seamless check-in and check-out experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant hospitality environment, providing exceptional guest services and representing the hotel’s standards of excellence. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele.

Duties

Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanour
Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently using the hotel management system
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with excellent phone etiquette
Assist guests with reservations, cancellations, and modifications as needed
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
Process payments accurately and issue receipts or invoices
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary
Maintain accurate records of bookings, cancellations, and guest preferences
Uphold high standards of hospitality and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service within the hospitality sector is preferred
Excellent communication skills; proficiency in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of hotel management software is desirable
Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding guest services with professionalism and courtesy
Familiarity with phone etiquette and effective communication techniques
A friendly demeanour combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
