Joinery Workshop Bench Joiner

Job Description

Staff regularly undergo training, keeping us up to date with the new products and innovations in the industry.

We are currently recruiting for a Bench Joiner to join the team at our Joiners Workshop at King Street, Leyland.

Duties include:

Operating a range of woodworking machines
Operating a range of hand power tools
Manufacturing Staircases
Manufacturing Windows, Doors, Door frames, Gallows brackets and Porch frames.
Working to deadlines
Maintaining general cleanliness of work area

Required Skills / Experience:

Craft Carpentry and Joinery Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship
Able to work from Technical drawings and job specifications
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
Ability to work on their own
Able to lift reasonably heavy loads
Articulate and numerate
Health & Safety aware

Preferred Skills:

Experience of working in a joiner’s workshop
Fork truck licence
Computer literate
Driving Licence

The ideal candidate for this Bench Joiner position, should come from a time served and college trained apprenticeship. Extra training will be given.
