Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care

Learning Disability and Autism experience is essential

Location: 1 Northumberland House, Hampstead Avenue, Chigwell, IG8 8RG
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per year
Hours: 25–35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Work location: Primarily office-based, Operational Based
Regulated activity: Personal Care
CQC locations: One
Start date: Flexible, subject to notice period
Reports to: Nominated Individual/Provider

Important Applicant Requirement

Only apply if you have previous professional experience supporting adults with both Learning Disabilities and Autism.

Role Overview

Pristine Community Care LTD is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to support the registration, development and safe operation of a new domiciliary care service.

The successful candidate will lead the service through its early development, establish effective governance systems and ensure that care is safe, person-centred and compliant with CQC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Registered Manager will:

Act as the Registered Manager for one CQC location.
Prepare the service for CQC registration, interviews and inspections.
Maintain compliance with the CQC Fundamental Standards and relevant adult social care legislation.
Oversee assessments, care plans, risk assessments and service-user reviews.
Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents, investigations and statutory notifications.
Lead recruitment, induction, training, supervision, appraisal and performance management.
Monitor staffing levels, rotas, continuity of care and community service delivery.
Implement audits covering care plans, medicines, staff files, record keeping and quality assurance.
Work closely with the Provider and Nominated Individual.
Participate in shared on-call and emergency cover arrangements.
Support business development, tender applications and commissioner relationships.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

Applicants must have:

Previous experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
At least one to two years’ management experience within adult social care.
Experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Service Manager within domiciliary care.
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, medicines management and quality assurance.
Experience preparing for CQC inspections, interviews or registration processes.
Experience conducting audits, investigations, supervisions, appraisals and staff observations.
Strong leadership, communication and service-development skills.
Full right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.
A full UK driving licence.

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or an equivalent qualification, is strongly preferred.

Business Development Experience

The ideal candidate will also have experience in:

Local authority tenders and framework applications.
Securing care packages, placements or contracts.
Commissioner, brokerage and referral pathways.
Building relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals and private clients.
Developing or growing a new domiciliary care service.

Package

Salary of £45,000–£50,000 per year.
Performance-related bonus or commission for agreed business-development achievements.

CQC Fit Person Interview preparation and support.
