The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Paralegal to join our Contentious Probate team in Farnborough. You will provide fee-earning support across a varied caseload of disputes involving wills, estates, trusts and inheritance claims.
This role offers excellent exposure to contentious probate work and would suit someone looking to develop their litigation career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with contentious probate matters, including will validity disputes, Inheritance Act claims, executor and trustee disputes, and trust-related litigation.

Drafting legal documentation, correspondence, witness statements, court forms and instructions to counsel and experts.

Reviewing and summarising key case documents, including wills, trust documents, medical records, financial information and estate accounts.

Supporting disclosure exercises, document management and trial preparation, including electronic and hard-copy bundles.

Assisting with court applications, procedural compliance and monitoring key deadlines.

Acting as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and helping to manage queries with professionalism and empathy.

Liaising with barristers, experts, executors, beneficiaries, trustees and other third parties.

Recording time, supporting billing processes and maintaining accurate case files.

Contributing to business development activities through legal updates, marketing initiatives and networking opportunities.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and eager to develop their legal career in contentious probate.
Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience in contentious probate, litigation or dispute resolution.

Experience within Private Wealth and Inheritance matters (advantageous).

A law degree (LLB) or equivalent qualification.

An understanding of civil litigation processes and court procedures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach to sensitive matters.
