Nursery Manager – High-Profile Nursery Launch Autumn 2026.

This role can be flexible from minimum 33 hours per week to 40 hours per week.

We’re opening a brand-new Happy Trails Play nursery in Lightwater, Surrey… and we’re looking for a Nursery Manager who genuinely LOVES childcare.

Yes the operational side of it matters — but the atmosphere, the energy, the team culture and the magic that makes children excited to come into nursery each morning is what matters most.

We because somewhere along the way, childcare became too robotic and too corporate.

And honestly?

We want to put the FUN back into childcare.

At Happy Trails Play, we do things differently. Our Shinfield nursery became known for healthy smoothies and acai bowls, real-life experiences, allotment projects, beautiful environments, strong standards and BIG personalities.

Now we’re building the Lightwater Nursery.

We’re looking for a warm, confident and emotionally intelligent leader excellent customer service, with strong EYFS and curriculum knowledge who can build teams, inspire staff, support occupancy growth and help create a nursery families genuinely feel excited about!

You’ll work alongside an experienced leadership team including supportive Directors, Marie-Claire (Senior Manager) and Sorsha (Operations & Compliance Manager), with genuine support around you as we build something special together.

Recruitment is conducted by the Directors. However, we will recruit together if you became Manager - Administrators, Housekeepers, Practitioners. We will build our culture as we build our team!

ESSENTIAL:

Minimum Level 3 qualification
Experience with Ofsted inspections
Ready for a journey of personal growth
Strong safeguarding & EYFS knowledge
Leadership experience
