The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced property professional to join Yenreit in a part-time capacity, with the real prospect of the role developing into a permanent full-time position (within our wider group). The successful candidate will be passionate about providing an exceptional experience for our tenants and maintaining the highest standards across our property portfolio.
The Property Manager will be the primary point of contact for tenant matters and will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our portfolio. We are seeking someone who understands what a truly excellent tenant experience looks like, from initial enquiry through to ongoing tenancy management and who can help us consistently deliver that across every touchpoint.
The successful candidate will be a team player who is equally comfortable working on their own initiative. They will bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to their work and take genuine ownership of their responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Tenant Management
- Act as the first point of contact for all tenant enquiries, complaints and communications
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with residential and commercial tenants
- Manage tenancy agreements, renewals and terminations in line with relevant Northern Ireland legislation
- Carry out tenant onboarding and move-out inspections, documenting condition reports
Property & Maintenance Oversight
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair works, liaising with contractors and tradespeople
- Conduct regular property inspections and produce clear condition reports
- Ensure all properties meet health, safety and regulatory requirements
- Manage relationships with approved contractors and service providers
Administration & Finance Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records and tenancy documentation
- Monitor rent schedules and assist with rent collection and arrears management
- Support budgeting and expenditure tracking for property maintenance
- Prepare regular management reports for senior leadership
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with relevant Northern Ireland landlord and tenancy legislation
- Keep up to date with changes in property law, health & safety regulations and best practice
- Maintain records of statutory certificates and inspections (e.g. gas safety, fire safety, EPCs)
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in property management or a directly related role
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software (or similar financial systems)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with tenants and colleagues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
- A proven professional and proactive approach to work that is thorough and dependable
- A full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable Requirements
- Experience managing a mixed-use (residential and commercial) property portfolio
- Background in finance, accounts, or property-related administration
- Familiarity with Northern Ireland tenancy legislation and landlord obligations
- Experience using property management software
