An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Vehicle and Product Assembly Technician to join our business in the Newark area. Our business, Great British Sports Cars Limited is a leading name in the British sports cars industry with full in-house design, development, manufacturing and testing, our company manufactures cars as well as other engineering projects from concept to final production.
This is not simply working in your normal workshop, this is an exciting opportunity to join the enthusiastic and dynamic production team at GBS with many new products planned. The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of assembling and building new and exciting products from brake callipers, shock absorbers and assemblies and building full cars through to completion.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday / Full Time – 9am – 5.30pm
Pay: From £25,000 dependant on experience

Required Skills and Attributes:
Educated to degree level or equivalent within engineering.
Experience in the diligent and timely assembly of vehicles from parts.
Previous experience in the engineering and/or automotive sector.
Ability to assemble a range of components.
Understand engineering and assembly drawings.
Building and fault rectification of luxury vehicles.
Use of manual and hand diagnostic tools.
Experience in assembly production process.
Hold a keen eye for detail.
Ability to communicate at all levels.
Working as part of a team whilst utilizing own initiative.
Attention to detail with extremely high-quality standards.
Good working knowledge within performance cars, tuning and motorsport.

Duties:
This role will provide vehicle and product assembly skills and expertise from intricate and accurate assembly of parts through to equally precise full car builds.
As well as our GBS sports car offering this role incorporates the assembly of the ATR Products that we produce, for example assembling-
- ATR shock absorbers to a range specification followed by testing and QA on our shock dyno to achieve desired handling.
- ATR throttle body fuel injection system assembly for different engine types.·
- ATR 4 pot brake calliper assembly.
- Fuel caps
- Fuel pressure regulators.
- Alloy panelling of chassis
- Building windscreen assembles.
This role also includes customer liaison where required and attendance at events to support the business both on and off site.
Working alongside the sales and purchasing team to maintain stock levels for all component supplies for products as required. Working alongside the Director and team to expand and improve the product range for Great British Sports Cars incorporating ATR Products.
The normal hours and duties for this role are shown above however as we are a small business there may be work required outside these duties and weekend work as require attending shows and events which are good always good fun.
This role is fully based on site at Great British Sports Cars Ltd (NG22 9ZD) within the office, warehousing and manufacturing facilities.
