Groundsperson/Turf Technicians, machinery operator, Lincoln Based but Nationwide Coverage We are a long-established sports turf construction, renovation, maintenance and landscape company that requires a full-time Sports Turf Technician Team member to join our highly respected firm. Working away and nights out are a regular requirement for the role working on some of the countires leading professional sports venues (Football, Golf courses, Rugby, Racecourses) Usually, Daily shifts Monday to Friday, (average 50 hours per week) with some Early starts and late finishes!! Additional payments for nights out and travelling time paid from yard to sites……. You will need to possess a passion for your profession and be willing to work outside in all aspects of the weather. You will have a great attitude, a pleasant customer manner, the ability to take directions and an eagerness to develop skills and knowledge to ensure that sports pitches and amenity landscape areas are constructed, maintained and renovated to a high standard. Plant and machinery operations are highly desirable such as driving tractors, using towed implements such as aeration machinery, seeders and fertiliser spreaders , mini diggers, large excavators, loadalls/forklifts, dumpers, etc, however, full training and instruction will be given to the right candidate! Are you the right person for the job? If you have/are the following, then the answer is yes! The ideal candidate will have a sound industry background with experience working on sports pitches, golf courses, and high quality landscape projects. A full, clean driver’s licence is essential. HGV, or towing would be a bonus as would any spraying PA1/PA2/PA6 certification. A strong team player but also able to work alone and using your own inititiave The skill to build good working relationships and great with clients Reliable and an excellent timekeeper Positive approach and able to respond to deadlines What will your role as a sports turf technician look like? Assisit in works such as ground cultivations, land drainage installation, Turf operations including top dressing, over seeding, divot repair, verti- draining, scarification, aeration, turf installation, fertiliser application, mowing operations What can you expect in return?
