About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Production Operatives to join our team in the Cutting Department.
We are seeking a skilled Bystronic Laser Operator to operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce a variety of high-quality metal parts for catering equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with laser cutting systems, blueprint reading, machine setup, and quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, working a 2-on, 2-off shift pattern, from 5:00 am to 4:50 pm.
Key Areas of Responsibility:

Operate the production of two Bystronic laser cutting machines.

Load and unload sheet metal materials safely and efficiently.

Select and adjust machine settings, tooling & parameters for optimum cut quality.

Monitor machine performance to maximise utilisation and efficiencies.

Inspect finished components to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Carry out routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on laser equipment.

Maintain accurate production records and consumables logs.

Always follow workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Consistently achieve machine utilisation and efficiency targets.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:

A valid Multi-reach and Counterbalance FLT licence is preferred.

Experience working with laser cutting technology.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Good knowledge of materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Engineering or Manufacturing experience preferred

CNC Machining or fabrication experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
