The Company & Position:
AVRIO Environmental Management (“AVRIO”) is a turnkey environmental solutions organisation providing environmental management and consulting to a range of organisations throughout Ireland and the U.K. As a result of continued business growth, the organisation is seeking a full-time Associate Project Manager to join the growing team. The position may require travel and occasional overnight stays throughout the U.K & Ireland.
This is an ideal role for a confident and competent Associate Project Manager who would like to progress within an office-based project management and co-ordination role, although there will be opportunity to undertake field work and support the wider environmental teams. The position will be based out of the Enniskillen head office or Lisburn divisional office, whichever is more appropriate for the candidate, with the option for relocation to a more favourable location in due course.
The Candidate & Role:
The successful candidate should have strong communication and organisational skills, be dynamic and motivated and be able to lead and motivate a project team. Working closely with the lead Project Manager, the candidate will manage a range of projects for clients within the company’s ecological and environmental divisions. The candidate should be conscientious and have previous managerial experience.
The candidate should demonstrate commercial efficiency and support the delivery of cost‑effective project solutions across a range of project sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively managing new business; to lead and be the main point of contact with project clients;
- Strong organisational skills and a passion for their discipline;
- Managing a wide and varied workload, organising and supervising field staff and survey effort;
- Co-ordinating and scheduling field survey programs involving staff and clients;
- Oversight of environmental teams, effectively manage projects, including budgetary oversight, client relationships and technical report deliverables;
- Staff Mentoring and Management;
- Contribute to the technical development of live tenders and bids, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and competitive submissions
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve project efficiency, delivery and stakeholder outcomes
- Ability to work under time pressure and able to adapt quickly to changing work requirements; and
- Highly organised and competent in all aspects of Project Management.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Educated to degree level in project management or environmental related discipline with project management experience;
- Full Member of a relevant professional institution preferred;
- Established Associate Project Manager with consultancy experience;
- Experience in developing and training staff, undertaking mentoring and developing best practice approaches including the adoption of the latest technologies;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including report writing skills, attention to detail and ability to write concise reports;
- Ability to work independently, take the initiative, make robust, defensible decisions and work to tight deadlines to meet client needs; and
- Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork in Ireland and the U.K.

This is a full-time position.
Salary: £27,000.00-£40,000.00 (depending on experience)

Experience:
- Consultancy: 2 - 5 years post graduate experience.
- Previous experience in a managerial role would be preferable.
Work Location:
Office-based in Enniskillen or Lisburn location (Hybrid) - We offer a hybrid setup, typically 4 days in the office and 1 day working remotely, subject to terms and conditions and operational needs.
