Security job position at Bow street mall , work as per rota 40 hours permanent contract plus extra hours available.

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to emergencies. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential.

Duties

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
Monitor CCTV systems continuously to observe activity and detect suspicious behaviour.
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and intervening in potential theft or vandalism incidents.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including providing first aid if necessary.
Maintain accurate logs of security activities, incidents, and observations throughout shifts.
Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and access control.
Collaborate with local authorities or emergency services when required.
Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
Valid first aid certification is highly desirable.
Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour.
Physical fitness to undertake patrol duties and respond quickly when necessary.
Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, or holidays as required. Pay: £12.83 per hour
