Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing essential assistance and guidance to vulnerable adults and young people. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mentoring, working with people, ensuring a positive and supportive environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of all individuals while developing valuable skills within a caring organisation.

Responsibilities

Offer personalised support to both adult vulnerable and young people, fostering their development and confidence
Assist with daily activities, including educational tasks, recreational activities, and behavioural support
Assist people to appointments and shopping trips
Support people in their homes and take them on their daily activities
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent care and support plans
Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment at all times

Qualifications

Experience in mentoring or working with adults/children is highly desirable
Knowledge of support methods suitable for adults/ young people
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting all individuals
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications in support service care or social care are advantageous but not essential
Commitment to safeguarding principles and organisational policies

This role offers an enriching opportunity for those passionate about supporting adult care and young people’s growth whilst gaining practical experience within a supportive environment.

Pay: £13.20 per hour
