Position Overview
This is an on-site position and will be based at HMS Raleigh, Torpoint, providing computer-based administrative support to the site from the Information Hub (iHub). You will be working on the Ministry of Defence Network (MODNET) utilising up-to-date Microsoft Office 365 productivity and collaboration tools alongside more bespoke IT packages.
The Information Support Administrator (ISA) is responsible to the iHub Manager for the handling of information to enable it to be stored, archived, located and retrieved efficiently, whilst ensuring its integrity.
Main Responsibilities
Act as a focal point for MODNET administration services, promoting best practice, and delivering the contracted requirement to the appropriate quality standard.
- Facilitate the efficient and effective processing of corporate information and knowledge in accordance with MOD Information Management (IM) policy.
- Supporting records management activities including the transfer of records to the appropriate authority or their destruction/deletion as required by MOD policy.
- Manage MODNET user accounts, software and asset requests.
- Advise on the administration of Team Site Collections.
- Management of Group Mailboxes (setting up, closing down, and managing any changes).
- Controlling unit wide announcements in regards to MODNET and IM policy, distributing the information in the most effective manner.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with current Health and Safety Regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
- Undertake any additional tasks as determined by the Line Manager, including support/cover for other Administrators when required.

In addition, the following is needed.
- Proven track record of delivering quality administration and service with customer facing experience.
- Persuasive and credible verbal and written communicator with the ability to develop close working relationships.
- Sound administrative experience with good organisational and motivational skills and a high degree of integrity.
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Understanding of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Date Protection Act (DPA).
- Good standard of education.
Additional Information
MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
