Here at the Hollies Farm Shop we’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused FOH/Kitchen Assistant to join our vibrant team. This is a dynamic split role where you’ll will be both front-of-house service and kitchen support, ensuring every guest enjoys exceptional food and a warm, memorable experience.
You’ll be the link between the Front of house and kitchen pass, providing excellent customer, maintaining high standards to deliver excellence. From distributing food and drink to greeting guests with genuine warmth, you’ll set the tone for quality and hospitality.
As Front of House and Kitchen assistant you will support the Café Shift Leaders and the Cafe Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading the front-of-house team, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role is hands-on and requires strong leadership, organiastional skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming experience
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and allergens
- Handle customer payments with care and accuracy
- Resolve customer concerns politely and professionally
Food & Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to company standards
- Serve food items in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Restock displays, fridges, and service areas as needed
Cleanliness & Organisation
- Maintain cleanliness of all takeaway areas, including counters, equipment, indoor seating area, external seating area,
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times, including wearing aprons, hair tied back, hand washing, no eating (hand to mouth)
- Assist with all opening and closing duties, including Logit records
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with baristas and kitchen staff
- Follow instructions from supervisors and managers
- Support smooth daily operations during busy periods
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic cash handling skills
- Good time management and attention to detail
