Location: Clacton-on-Sea
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, with occasional additional hours/weekends as required
Holiday: 28 days, increasing with length of service

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working as a Registered Manager within a health and social care setting.
Proven management experience within adult social care, ideally supporting adults with disabilities.
Level 5 Diploma/NVQ in Health & Social Care Management or equivalent.
Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
A thorough understanding of the regulatory and operational responsibilities of a Registered Manager.
Excellent leadership, communication and people-management skills.
A compassionate, motivated and person-centred approach to supporting adults to achieve their potential.
Ability to work independently, take initiative and make confident management decisions.
Full driving licence for manual vehicles.
Enhanced/appropriate DBS clearance required.
Flexibility to work additional hours or weekends occasionally when required.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to join our warm, friendly and expanding day opportunities and short-term breaks service in Clacton-on-Sea.

This is a rewarding leadership position for an experienced social care professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support and helping adults with disabilities achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Working in a varied environment where no two days are the same, you will have overall responsibility for overseeing the service and ensuring it operates effectively, safely and in accordance with the highest professional and regulatory standards.

You will work closely with the Managing Director, staff team, families, individuals we support and relevant statutory authorities to ensure the service consistently delivers positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the service.
Ensure the service meets all relevant CQC requirements, legislation, regulations and professional standards.
Maintain and implement effective policies, procedures and quality assurance systems.
Provide strong leadership, guidance and support to the staff team.
Promote a positive, inclusive and person-centred culture across the service.
Ensure the people we support receive safe, respectful and high-quality care and support.
Work in partnership with individuals, families, staff and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Monitor and maintain standards of safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and service quality.
Ensure appropriate staffing, training, supervision and professional development arrangements are in place.
Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all regulatory and organisational requirements are met.
Liaise effectively with statutory authorities and other external agencies where required.
Support the continued development and growth of the service.
Carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the responsibilities of the Registered Manager role.
