Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime available

About the Role

Skysmart Aviation Component Support is seeking an Electronics Repair Technician to join our growing workshop team at Stansted Airport.

This role focuses on testing, diagnosing and repairing electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies using Automated Test Equipment (ATE). Previous aviation experience is not required as full training will be provided.

We are particularly interested in candidates from industries such as medical devices, automotive diagnostics, defence, marine electronics, industrial controls, telecommunications or other technical repair environments.

Key Responsibilities

Use Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and manual diagnostic tools to test and fault-find electronic assemblies.
Carry out repairs, adjustments and component replacement in accordance with technical manuals and company procedures.
Accurately update maintenance records throughout the repair process.
Work closely with inspection and production teams to ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained.

Required Experience & Skills

Experience diagnosing, fault-finding and repairing electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical equipment.
Ability to read and follow technical manuals, schematics and manufacturer documentation.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.
Experience working within a regulated or quality-controlled environment.

Desirable Skills

Wiring, crimping or soldering experience.
Familiarity with workshop tracking or inventory management systems.

Full Aviation Training Provided

No aviation experience is required. We are looking for technically minded individuals with strong diagnostic and repair skills who are interested in developing a career within the aviation industry.

Pay: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
