Part Time Activities Coordinator. St Helens Hall Care Home

12.76per hour
20 hours per week
Shift patterns typically 10am-3pm or 12pm-5pm, including some weekend working
Please note we are looking for full flexibility and cannot accommodate set days

As an Activities Coordinator at our home, your role may involve:

In this role, you will come up with and provide a variety of entertainment to residents that enriches the mind, body and soul. Making a meaningful contribution to someone's life is fulfilling, demanding and requires flexibility, professionalism and skills.

You will lead the way in developing a varied, stimulating daily activity programme, taking a hands-on approach and developing strong relationships with residents to ensure their wants, interests and needs are catered for. Examples of activities offered may include, films, music, exercise sessions, gardening, games, quizzes, arts & crafts, nail-care, trips and outings.

Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final.Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Experience of working with an elderly client group and/or working within a care home environment would also be highly advantageous, as would the ability to cover outings or special events outside of normal working hours as required.
