Titanic Maintenance Engineer
The Titanic Hotel Liverpool is all about the restoration of one of our city’s most historic and iconic buildings. As a World Heritage site it forms part of the Stanley Dock Village development overlooking the waters of Stanley Dock. The hotel is a hotel of unequalled proportion of size, service and style.
We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer.
As a Maintenance Engineer you will carry out repairs, either in person or as co-ordinated by the Property Manager which may include working alongside subcontractors. Respond to daily engineering issues and perform proactive routine maintenance and equipment inspection, being fully aware of Health & Safety Legislation within the Hotel.
Main Duties:
· Provide engineering expertise and services across the hotel to enable a 24/7 operation
· Liaise with the Housekeeping and Front Office team to prioritise jobs and provide feedback on status of repairs and time required to perform the job.
· Act as a rapid response resource to reported faults and emergency situations
· Participate in engineering projects and installations
· Perform planned preventative maintenance and proactive routine equipment inspection to ensure minimal down time of operational equipment
· Conduct routine equipment checks in guest rooms and conduct routine repairs and touch ups to meet technical requirements and Hotel service goals
· Assess and identify any complex or potential technical maintenance or operating issues in Guest rooms, and report to the Property Manager
· Ensure the effective operation of all technical equipment in designated area
· Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner and ensure compliance to relevant legislative and health and safety requirements
· To act as a team player and provide effective day-to-day communication with team members and other Hotel colleagues in order to provide exceptional guest service
Requirements:
· Understanding of Plumbing / Electric / Carpentry
· Good working experience of building services and controls (mechanical and electrical)
· Knowledge of BMS controls and heating and air conditioning equipment
· Basic understanding of legislative requirements e.g. Health and Safety, understanding of risk and method statements
· Working knowledge of general equipment functioning to include:
· Problem solving ability
· Experience working in a maintenance environment in Hotels Operation is essential
· Excellent communication Skills at all levels
· Customer service orientated
· Computer literate
· Flexible work approach
· Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
