You will assist the Senior Technician in the preparation and delivery of practical demonstrations, including timetabled sessions, workshops and the demonstration of processes and techniques across the full spectrum of live production technology, including sound, lighting, AV and video, and staging. You will help students to identify and apply appropriate techniques, processes, resources and equipment to meet learning outcomes.

You will also assist the Senior Technician in the day-to-day running of the Faculty's performance and production facilities, including the use and booking of specialist equipment such as digital and analogue mixing consoles, lighting consoles, LED video wall systems, projection, and show control software such as QLab and Resolume. A working knowledge of live sound reinforcement, lighting programming and rigging, video signal routing, and stage configuration and construction is necessary for this role, along with a willingness to learn and develop across all of these disciplines.

The role also involves supporting the supervision, training and induction of staff and students, assisting with the proactive management of health and safety, and helping to plan and support performances, exhibitions, events and conferences across the faculty.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to develop existing experience of working in a live production or performance environment in a Higher Education setting.

Evening and weekend work may be required to support the business needs of the Faculty and Schools.
