Job Description:
As a Home Caregiver at Symbiotic Homecare, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. You will provide compassionate assistance with daily activities and personal care tasks, while also offering companionship and emotional support.
Flexible contracts
Responsibilities:
1. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences.
3. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up living spaces.
4. Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands as needed.
5. Engage clients in meaningful activities and conversation to promote socialisation and mental stimulation.
6. Monitor and report any changes in clients' condition or behaviour to the appropriate supervisor.
7. Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a trusting and caring relationship with clients.
8. Maintain confidentiality and respect clients' privacy at all times.
9. Collaborate effectively with other members of the care team to ensure holistic and coordinated care.

Qualifications:
1. English language proficiency
2. Previous experience as a caregiver desirable but not essential.
3. Compassionate and empathetic demeanour with a genuine desire to help others.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
7. Willingness to undergo DBS checks.
8. Basic understanding of personal care techniques and infection control practices.
