Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented self employed Spray Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying finishing coats to various products, ensuring a high-quality surface finish. This role requires a good understanding of mechanical processes, the use of hand and power tools, and adherence to safety standards. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, assembly, or construction painting to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for polishing by cleaning and masking as necessary
- Operate spray equipment to apply paint, lacquer, or other finishing materials evenly across products
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist in surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of the finish meets company standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with assembly or fabrication tasks as required
- Follow detailed instructions and technical drawings during application processes
- Support the team in meeting production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse, construction painting, or assembly roles is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with fabrication processes are advantageous
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during finishing tasks
- Experience working with welding or fabrication techniques is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience with the use of spray equipment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
