Are you an experienced Performing Arts teacher with a passion for Musical Theatre and a gift for inspiring young performers? Razzamataz Theatre School Liverpool South is growing - and we're looking for a Triple Threat Performing Arts Teacher to help us launch an exciting new class for our young students!
When: Saturday mornings (term-time only) - starting September 2026
Where: St Hilda's High School, Seton Park
What: Teaching Drama, Dance, and Singing across Musical Theatre, Commercial, and Street Dance
This role has come about due to the continued growth of our school, and we are opening a brand-new class for children aged 6. We need someone who is not only a skilled and confident teacher, but who truly understands the world of Musical Theatre and can bring it to life for our youngest students.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality performing arts classes to children aged 4–18, with a key focus on our new 6-year-old group
- Plan and prepare creative, age-appropriate lessons in line with Razzamataz guidelines
- Teach a variety of styles including Musical Theatre, Commercial, and Street Dance
- Develop and coordinate fresh, innovative material for termly presentations, public performances, and our annual showcase (we do not follow an exam syllabus)
- Promote and maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment
- Support the school with Easter and Summer Holiday Workshops (additional hours)
- Help students prepare for performances, showcases, and termly events
- Follow all health and safety procedures, safeguarding policies, and risk assessments
- Attend team meetings and training sessions, contributing ideas for the forthcoming term
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress
- Manage classroom behaviour by establishing clear expectations and promoting respect among students
About You
- You have demonstrable experience teaching Performing Arts - this is essential, not optional
- Your background and training is rooted in Musical Theatre and commercial - this is the heartbeat of our school and we need someone who lives and breathes it
- Confident and experienced across all three disciplines: Drama, Dance, and Singing
- Experienced working across Musical Theatre, Commercial, and Street styles
- Experienced teaching or working with young children, particularly those aged 4–7
- Organised, enthusiastic, and professional with a genuine passion for teaching
- A positive role model with an energetic, fun-loving personality
- Committed to delivering high-quality training in a supportive and creative environment
- A caring nature, a natural affinity with children, and a mature and responsible attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and a committed team player
- Holder of an up-to-date enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one)
Please note: We warmly welcome applications from performers, but this role requires proven classroom teaching experience in a performing arts setting. Applications without this will not be progressed.
