NVQ Level 3 in Childcare & Education, NND, Health & Social Care or equivalent
At least 2 years' experience working with children aged 0-5
Experience supporting children and families, including home-based work

Family Link Worker Granby Children's Centre, Liverpool

35 hours per week
Fixed-term: 6 months
£31,022 per annum

Make a real difference to families in your community

We're looking for a warm, confident and experienced Family Link Worker to join our team at Granby Children's Centre.

This is a rewarding role supporting young children (0-5) and their families through early help, parenting support, and community-based activities.

If you enjoy working directly with families, building trust, and helping children get the best possible start in life, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

Supporting families through early help and outreach work
Running parenting groups, learning sessions and activities
Carrying out home visits
Supporting children's development using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Working with health visitors, schools, nurseries and other professionals
Encouraging engagement from parents and carers, including fathers
Supporting the Toy Lending Library
Providing crèche support during sessions and training
Always working in line with safeguarding and inclusion policies

What we're looking for You must have:

NVQ Level 3 in Childcare & Education, NND, Health & Social Care or equivalent
At least 2 years' experience working with children aged 0-5
Experience supporting children and families, including home-based work
Confidence running group sessions and activities
A good understanding of safeguarding and early help
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

Bonus if you have:

Experience coordinating crèche provision
Experience working in a children's centre or community setting

Good to know

Enhanced DBS check required
25 days annual leave + bank holidays (some closure periods apply)
Work takes place at the centre and in the local community
Ability to travel between sites is essential
