Inspirations Wholesale is a family-run business that has been supplying retailers, interior designers, garden centres and businesses throughout the UK since 1996.
We specialise in home interiors, artificial plants and trees, seasonal products, fashion accessories, giftware, garden furniture and Christmas displays. With hundreds of thousands of registered customers and new products arriving throughout the year, no two days are ever the same.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Visual Merchandiser to join our team and learn a highly creative and rewarding role within a successful local business.
About the Role
This is not a typical merchandising position.
Unlike large retail chains, we do not provide planograms or detailed display guides to follow. Instead, we create our own displays from scratch, using creativity, imagination and commercial thinking to showcase products in the most inspiring way possible.
Our displays help customers visualise how products could look in their homes, gardens and businesses. We create beautiful retail environments that encourage customers to buy and return time and time again.
Full training will be provided, and previous visual merchandising experience is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Creating attractive product displays throughout the store
· Learning visual merchandising techniques and display principles
· Replenishing and merchandising stock
· Moving and organising products across departments
· Assisting with seasonal display changes
· Working across interiors, fashion, outdoor living, giftware and seasonal departments
· Serving customers on the tills when required
· Assisting customers with enquiries
· Supporting the wider retail team
· Maintaining high presentation standards throughout the store
Important Information
This is a physically demanding role.
You will be on your feet for most of the day and will regularly be lifting, moving and displaying stock.
Applicants should be comfortable undertaking physical work and working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Working Hours
Our business operates 7 days a week and flexibility is essential.
Current trading hours are:
· Standard hours: 8:45am – 5:15pm
· Seasonal late-night trading (September to December): 12:15pm – 8:15pm
The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and may be required to work evening shifts during our busy seasonal trading period.
