Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems within our manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as proficiency with various tools and technology. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical fitting to contribute to high-quality production processes.

Duties

Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and power tools
Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery and equipment
Programme and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal operation
Work with surface mount technology (SMT) components during assembly processes
Assist in the integration of electrical systems with mechanical parts for machinery setup
Perform routine inspections to identify potential faults or safety hazards
Document maintenance activities and report any issues requiring further attention
Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements

Requirements

Proven experience with electrical systems and mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and surface mount technology (SMT) is highly desirable
Strong understanding of electrical wiring, circuitry, and mechanical principles
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair tasks
Mechanical knowledge including the use of various power tools for assembly and maintenance
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
