Full job description

Job Title: Site Quality Control Engineer

Location: Head Office is in Kirkburton, Huddersfield. However, during busy periods, it is expected that the position will be predominantly site-based at various locations throughout the UK (quite regularly across the midlands) and occasionally overseas, with frequent overnight stays being required during the working week.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £31,050.00 per annum; negotiable based on experience

The Role

Face Consultants Ltd are an internationally renowned global flooring consultancy, specialising in servicing the Logistic and Industrial sectors. Due to continued growth a fantastic opportunity has become available for a dynamic site supervision engineer.

Initially, the role will predominantly involve visiting site to review onsite quality control ensuring our clients’ facilities are being constructed in line with the relevant design whilst ensuring construction best practice. This involves working closely with the main contractors and the specialist concrete flooring sub-contractors, hence good interpersonal skills at all levels are essential for this role. On completion of the on-site inspection the engineer will be required to produce a short report using our specially adapted software.

Following further learning and training it is envisaged the right person will develop to eventually attend site meetings as the Face Consultants Representative. This client-facing role will require a good engineering construction understanding.

Due to the diverse nature of the Group during quieter periods depending on qualifications the engineer may be required to aid other departments such as Design or Surveying and Testing.

Essential Skills and Experience

· HND/BSC/BEng Civil Engineering or related subject.

· Site supervision role experience.

· Understanding of construction and construction techniques (preferably concrete structures.)

· Good communication skills essential at all levels – spoken and written

· Good Level of English – written and spoken.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Well organised and able to maintain good administration records.

· Professional and able to work under own initiative.

Desirable Skills and Experience

· 3+ years post qualification site experience

· Report Writing

· Experience of Concrete Flooring

Notes

Due to specialist nature full training will be given to the right person.

Schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £31,050.00 per year
