If you are passionate about supporting research projects and have experience with the grant application process then this role may interest you.
Join us in a meaningful role that directly supports research and helps secure funding for projects to shape the future of children and young people's healthcare.
Reporting into the Associate Director for R&I, your main responsibilities will include:
Research Grant Support : Provide guidance, oversight, and hands-on support to ensure that all research proposals meet the highest standards
Funding Coordination : Collaborate with The Children’s Hospital Charity to coordinate research funding calls, contributing to impactful research that advances healthcare.
Process Management : Oversee grant applications, awards, and projects to ensure seamless administration, from initiation to completion, following the established requirements and procedures of the Trust.
At Sheffield Children’s, our purpose is clear: to provide healthier futures for children and young people. Our three strategic aims are Outstanding Patient Care, Brilliant Place to Work, and Leaders in Children’s Health.
We work with partners across local, regional, and national levels to deliver physical and mental healthcare in both acute and community settings. Many of our clinicians are nationally and internationally recognised for their expertise.
We’re proud that 73% of colleagues would recommend Sheffield Children’s as a place to work, placing us among the top five NHS trusts in England — and the top-ranked trust in the North East and Yorkshire — in the latest NHS Staff Survey.
