Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section in the kitchen. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional environment. The Chef de Partie will play a vital part in maintaining our standards of food safety, presentation, and taste, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Oversee the daily operations of a specific section within the kitchen, such as fish, meat, or pastry.
Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
Manage stock levels within your section, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training where necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your work area at all times.
Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to deliver a seamless service during busy periods.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and presentation skills.
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team.
Previous restaurant experience is desirable, along with serving knowledge to enhance guest interactions.
Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
