We’re looking for a driven and experienced Shift Lead to join our production team at our cheese packing facility in Minffordd.
This is more than a job — it’s a chance to lead from the front, shaping performance, culture and results across a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage a large production team of up to 75 colleagues, with Supervisors and Line Leaders reporting into you
- Take full accountability for the performance of 9 production lines, ensuring delivery of all key KPIs including OTIF, CTP, OEE and waste targets
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring full compliance with H&S, GMP, food safety standards and CCP requirements
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, yield and quality
- Plan labour and resources effectively to meet production demand, including skills planning, training and development
- Monitor performance data and lead SIC meetings to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous performance improvement
- Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks and engagement activities to align teams with business goals
- Support NPD and improvement projects, ensuring successful delivery of line and process enhancements

You’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading large teams in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Strong understanding of food safety, BRC standards, GMP and health & safety requirements
- Experience managing production KPIs such as OTIF, downtime, waste, OEE and quality measures
- Practical knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
- Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills
- The ability to think critically, solve problems and act with pace and accountability
- A leadership style that motivates, develops and engages teams at all levels
