Salary:
£24,440.00 + shift allowance.
Main Duties of the Role:
The primary purpose of the Machine Operator position is to assist with Production in operating pre-set machinery in order to produce finished machine part components to customer specifications, whilst working to quality standards.
The Machine Operator will report directly to the Production Manager, and will work closely with the Production and Quality teams to assist with any additional duties.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Operate machine tools within the production department, that have been pre-set by skilled setters, to produce machine parts to drawing specifications and customer satisfaction.
Perform all work to production and quality procedures as issued by the quality department (ie. 1st off, batch and final inspection, batch numbers, drawing verification and on-the-job self-inspection) at all times
Run multiple machines for small to medium batch quantities
Support colleagues assisting with other duties when required to aid the smooth running of the Company.
Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the department.
To comply with all reasonable requests made by the Production Manager.
Ensure all aspects of safety standards are kept at all times within the Logistics department to comply with health and safety procedures and regulations that are laid down in the Group Health and Safety policy.
Report any issues or hazards to the Production Manager.

Experience:
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment (ideally which is production-based).
- Experience of running CNC machines
- Strong accuracy and attention to details.
- Focused with the ability to be flexible to changes.
- Exposure to Health & Safety and Quality practices and the importance of their correct implementation.
