Location: Llandeilo and Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, with the possibility of home based working where possible
Contract type: Permanent and full-time, but also open to part-time
Hours and schedule (full-time): 0930-1700 (7.5 hours a day, including 30 minute paid lunch), 5 days a week, Monday-Friday
Pay: Salary equivalent to one-third (33.3%) of fees generated and collected from the employee's billable work. Bonus equivalent to one-third (33.3%) of fees generated over target. Salary will be negotiated depending on experience and previous billing performance.

Role purpose
To provide the highest quality legal advice and representation to clients on a range of family law matters. This includes managing a varied caseload but always focusing on achieving practical, fair, and client-focused outcomes. It goes without saying the role requires a professional, empathetic, and commercially sensitive approach to often complex personal issues.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of privately funded family law matters
- Advise clients on divorce, separation, and civil partnership dissolution
- Handle all financial remedy matters including asset division, pensions, and property disputes
- Advise on private children law matters
- Draft legal documentation including applications, consent orders, and settlement agreements to a high standard
- Conduct negotiations and participate in ADR
- Represent clients in administrative court proceedings where required albeit Counsel can be instructed
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards
- Provide clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice at all stages of a matter
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case progression

Minimum requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), CILEX Lawyer, or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx)
- Minimum 2 years PQE preferred
- Strong understanding of family law principles and court procedures
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
