Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional Clerk to the Governing Body to support the school’s governance arrangements from July 2026. This is a valuable opportunity to play a central role in supporting strong and effective governance within a forward‑thinking school committed to bilingualism, transparency, compliance and continuous improvement for the benefit of pupils, staff and the wider community.

As Clerk to the Governing Body, you will:

Support the Chair, Headteacher and Governors by organising meetings, preparing agendas and papers, and producing accurate, timely and high‑quality minutes.
Provide reliable and objective advice on governance procedures, relevant legislation and statutory responsibilities.
Ensure continuity of Governing Body business through the effective and confidential management of records, statutory documentation and governance information.
Promote effective governance by building positive working relationships with Governors and
external partners.

We are seeking an individual with high professional standards, excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of the strategic role of the Governing Body. You will be an effective communicator who works with integrity and discretion, contributing directly to robust governance, a positive culture and the school’s ambitious vision.
